Source of Funds

When a check has been completed, you will receive a PDF of the results, if you need help locating your PDF report, please read the guide here.

Within your PDF for Source of Funds, the following will appear in your PDF:

1) Cover Page

2) Source of Funds

3) Open Banking

This article discusses each result in more detail. If your clients need help completing their checks, they can view our guides and videos here.

Section 1: Cover Page

The first page on your PDF will confirm the name of the check that has been completed as can be seen below. This cover page will also confirm the individuals name, date of birth and contact details if specified.

If you have any queries regarding your checks, please give our support team the reg-code that appears in the PDF.

As no liveness image is requested in the Source of Funds check, you will have the 'awaiting image' appear.

Section 2: Source of Funds

Next, the source of funds information will appear. The PDF will show you the information filled out by the individual on where their funds are coming from as well as the property address and purchase price.

The information shown here will differ depending on the funds the individual has indicated.

After this page, any evidence that the individual uploaded, such as a mortgage in principle or bank statements will then appear in the PDF. Please note we do not verify these documents for you, you will still need to review these documents.

Section 3: Open Banking

As part of the check, the individual has an option whether to connect to their bank account or not via Open Banking. If they opt in to the Open Banking check, you will be presented with six months worth of data straight from their bank account organised into income, expenditure and an affordability overview.
