In-Person Checks | Unity Onboarding

In-Person Checks


This article shows you how to complete an in-person check on Credas, you may wish to use this method if your client is present in your office and you wish to do the check together. Alternatively if aligned with your internal processes, you can use this method to complete a Source of Funds questionnaire on behalf of your client. You can also run manual checks on your client by following the steps here.



1. Firstly, you will need to create an individual. To do this, you will need to go into your client portal by clicking 'Manage Existing Clients' within Unity.



You will then be taken to your individuals page. Click on the 'Add new' button located to the top right of the screen.





2. The Invite Wizard will open, allowing you to create an ‘Individual’. To complete in-person checks click 'Send new invite to an individual'.




3. Next, you will be required to enter the ‘Individual’s’ personal information, such as their ‘First name’ and ‘Last name’. Your clients ‘Date of birth’ and ‘Your reference’ fields are optional. Once you have finished adding your clients person information, select ‘Confirm details’, located at the bottom of the screen. 




4. Next, you will be able to input the individual's contact information, including their email address. These fields are optional, and you may wish to skip over this if you are completing an in-person check. Click 'Create Profile' when you have inputted the information you wish to include.




5. You will now need to confirm which journey you wish to complete in-person.


6. You will now be presented with the contact methods screen. As you wish to complete an in-person check, please click 'Don't send an invite, I'll complete the process myself'.




6. You will then be able to complete the process yourself by clicking 'complete process now'.
