KYC/AML Products


This article discusses the products & checks available on Unity Onboarding + KYC, if you are using Unity Practice Management or the Unity Client ID Verification tile, please click the links above to be taken to the support resources for those products. 


Safe Harbour Vendor

Developed in collaboration with HMLR, the Credas Safe Harbour standard check requires the vendor to:

  • Capture their Passport & liveness
  • Scan their passport NFC
  • UK Address & Mortality Check
  • International PEPs & Sanctions Check
  • Provide two linking documents to their property in accordance with HMLR's guidelines


If the client does not have a e-passport, they will be able to upload other Identity Documents instead. However this will not satisfy Safe Harbour standards and Safe Harbour will not appear in your results.


This check is now only available via our app, leading to higher rates of completion because Credas' has a market leading IDV app, which has over 265,000 reviews and an average 4.6/5 stars rating, your customers will be able to verify their identity from anywhere in the world, at any time. 


Safe Harbour Purchaser 

Similarly, the purchaser version of the Safe Harbour ensures thorough vetting for all transactions and requires the purchaser to:

  • Capture their Passport & liveness
  • Scan their passport NFC
  • UK Address & Mortality Check
  • International PEPs & Sanctions Check


If the client does not have a e-passport, they will be able to upload other Identity Documents instead. However this will not satisfy Safe Harbour standards and Safe Harbour will not appear in your results.

Biometric ID + AML Check

This journey is an alternative check that can be used for clients who do not have a smartphone and cannot use the Credas App, cannot satisfy HMLR's Safe Harbour standards or for all other conveyancing matters that do not fall under purchasing or selling a property. This journey allows completion fully via the web or the Credas App and includes:

  • Capture their Identity Document & liveness
  • UK Address & Mortality Check
  • International PEPs & Sanctions Check



Source of Funds

Credas' Source of Funds solution simplifies the process of gathering and analysing financial information using Open Banking. Customers can upload evidence or connect directly with their bank, depending on the Source of Funds. 


Ongoing Monitoring

One of the key benefits of directly integrating Credas into the Unity Onboarding product is that we can now include Ongoing Monitoring as part of the solution. Credas' OGM solution will automatically screen your customers against the latest international PEPs & Sanctions lists for six months and notify you of any changes in circumstances via email. Our enhanced OGM offering helps you stay compliant while reducing both your administrative burden and costs.
