Completing a Manual Check


This article shows you how to complete a manual check without sending an invitation to your client.


1. Firstly, you will need to create an individual. To do this, you will need to go into your client portal by clicking 'Manage Existing Clients' within Unity.





You will then be taken to your individuals page. Click on the 'Add new' button located to the top right of the screen.





2. The Invite Wizard will open, allowing you to create an ‘Individual’. To complete manual checks click 'Create and go to profile'.





3. Next, you will be required to enter the ‘Individual’s’ personal information, such as their ‘First name’ and ‘Last name’. Your clients ‘Date of birth’ and ‘Your reference’ fields are optional. Once you have finished adding your clients person information, select ‘Confirm details’, located at the bottom of the screen. 




4. Next, you will be able to input the individual's contact information, including their email address. These fields are optional, and you may wish to skip over this if you are completing manual checks. Click 'Create Profile' when you have inputted the information you wish to include.





5. You will then be taken to the individuals profile, as can be seen below. You can either click out of the Quick Actions Menu and run a check from the 'Available Checks' section of an individuals profile. Alternatively you can click 'Run a data check' from the menu on the right hand side of the screen.



6. If you clicked 'Run a data check', you will then be presented with the below manual check options for you to choose from.



7. Once you have completed the first data check, you can then choose more options for manual checks including uploading documents under supporting documents such as a proof of address document, or an ID document under the 'ID Verification' tab. 




 

FAQs


How do I upload an ID Document?

We do recommend ID Documents are uploaded by your client as part of a journey, as you will often see higher pass rates however you can manually upload an ID Document in the 'available checks' section of an individuals profile. If you decide to upload an ID document, please make sure this image is as clear and high quality as possible. Once you have uploaded the ID document, it may appear blue for up to four hours whilst the ID document is being reviewed. 




How do I upload an ID document if I have already sent the check to the client?

If you have already issued an invitation out to your client but they have sent you their ID Documents another way, you can still upload them to the individuals profile. You can upload the ID document by clicking the upload button on the requested tab below.




How do I complete a manual liveness check?

You will not be able to complete manual liveness checks, these can only be completed as part of journey. However if you wish to add a note to the individuals profile to confirm you have seen the client yourself, you can add a note here.


How do I download manual checks as PDF's?

You can download individuals PDFs for each of the checks by clicking into the check and then 'view PDF'.




Can I run a one off check from the Invite wizard?

You can also run a one-off manual check by clicking one of the options under 'Create individual and run a check on the invite wizard.'
