Supported Identity Documents
This article explains which Identity Documents we are able to verify, and which countries are currently under sanctions, and therefore we are unable to verify their Identity Documents. If you are looking to understand how to understand your results, please view the guides here instead.
If in the Identity Document Detailed Report, it says the Identity Document has failed because of 'supported document', this means this Identity Document is not on our supported list.
In total we can verify over 2,500 different Identity Documents across 195 countries. You can view the full list of Identity Documents we can verify here as of December 2024 - https://crepartnersupport.blob.core.windows.net/credas-knowledgebase/Onfido_Supported_Documents.pdf
Due to sanctions, we are currently unable to verify Identity Documents or Liveness results from the following countries:
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
